First Lady Acquanetta Dansby

Acquanetta Dansby is in demand as an anointed proclaimer of God's Word. Her book From Brokenness to Holiness tells how God redeemed her and led her to become a committed, Holy Ghost–filled servant of the Lord.

She accepted Christ as a young adult in 1989 at Holy Temple Church of God in Christ (Mesa, Arizona) and has served in the choir and as a Sunday school teacher and as president of three church auxiliaries: the Lord's Kitchen, which provided hot meals for the less fortunate; Prayer and Bible Band; and Hospitality.

A licensed Evangelist Missionary of the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), she serves in the Arizona Jurisdictional Women's Department. She was the first woman to speak in the Arizona Jurisdiction's Ministers, Missionaries, and Workers Convention (now the Leadership Conference).

“Lady A” is First Lady at Holy Temple COGIC and president of the Department of Women in that body; president of the Missionaries Circle, El Shaddai District Department of Women; and co-president of the Missionaries Circle, Arizona Jurisdictional Department of Women.

In 1991, she married Gregory L. Dansby, Administrative Assistant for the Arizona Jurisdictional Music Department, chairman of the Arizona Jurisdictional and El Shaddai District Finance Departments, and pastor of Holy Temple COGIC. She is the mother of four and has four grandsons and two granddaughters. She works as Director of a Head Start preschool in Mesa.
