Gregory L. Dansby was born July 25, 1964 in Mesa, Arizona.  He is the sixth of eight children born to the union of the late Superintendent and Pastor Bennie Dansby and Francis Flordia Mae Dansby. Pastor Dansby is currently retired from the City of Mesa as a Police Service Officer II, where he worked in various positions and departments within the Police Department since January 1993 until October 2014. Pastor Dansby accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior early in life and was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost.  He accepted the call to ministry on Sunday, March 18, 1991.  His spiritual upbringing was at the Holy Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of his father who served as pastor from November 1953 until his death in April of 1986. After his father entered the church triumphant, Superintendent Jerry Dornell Boyd was appointed pastor of Holy Temple in May of 1986.  Superintendent Jerry D. Boyd was a great influence to Pastor Dansby as friend, mentor, and advisor.
 
January of 2004 Supt. Jerry D. Boyd entered the church triumphant. On April 4, 2004, Pastor Dansby was elevated by God to the position as Pastor of Holy Temple Church of God in Christ and was installed by the late Bishop LeRoy Robert Anderson, General Board Member and Jurisdictional Prelate of the Arizona Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.

Elder Dansby has held various positions within Holy Temple Church of God in Christ, which included Trustee Board Chairman; Treasurer; Choir President/Director; Sunday School Teacher; and Young People Willing Worker President/Teacher.  Besides serving the local church, he was active in the El Shaddai District (formerly Central District #1) where he formerly held the positions of Young People Willing Worker President and District Choir President for over fifteen years and served faithfully during two leadership transitions.   Currently, Pastor Dansby serves as El Shaddai District Superintendent. In the Arizona Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, he serves as the Finance Chairman. He served as Minister of Music and Choir Director for the Jurisdictional Music Department and currently serves as the Administrator of the Jurisdictional Music Department.
 
He is the bass singer for the Sister Moses Theatre Production consecutively since 1996, which has performed in various cities in Arizona, Las Vegas, NV and in Austin TX.
 
Pastor Dansby served on the Clergy Forum and Diversity Team for the City of Mesa Police Department; he served on sub-committees and later as the Festival Committee Chairman for two years for the Mesa Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration; he participated in the City of Mesa “Shop with a Cop” a group to support families supplying Christmas gifts sponsored by Target Stores, Inc. and volunteered for the W. Steven Martin Christmas Toy Drive for several years.  
 
He along with the church is well known within the community for its outreach ministry, as well as ministering to male prison inmates in Florence, and Eloy, Arizona.
 
Supt. Dansby is married to First Lady Evangelist Acquanetta Lamb Dansby and is the proud father of four children: Kristin Chanel, Keturah Ariel, Keenya DeNae, and KeShawn Quantell, along with four grandsons and two granddaughters: Anthony LeMarcus, Antwon Lamonte, Amare Lee, Ezra Michael, Genesis Lee, and Mikaela Ariel.
